We recommend that you recharge your aircon system with new gas every two years as over 10% of your aircon gas leaks through physical joints between your vehicle components every 18 months.

Benefits of an Aircon Service

Which Aircon Gas do I require?

There are currently two types of aircon gas available on the market. R134A gas is common in vehicles manufactured before 2014. Most, if not all vehicles with air conditioning manufactured since 1st January 2017 include the new R1234YF air con gas which is more environmentally friendly. R1234YF gas was phased in by vehicle manufacturers so vehicles rolling off the production line between 2014 and 2016 could require either gas.

What happens if I dont Regas my vehicle's Aircon System?

If you don’t regas the aircon system, it will gradually become less efficient, making the vehicle uncomfortable in hot weather, and take longer to demist the windows in winter. Not regassing your aircon system will be bad for your vehicle in the long run, with pipes likely to crack and parts likely to seize up if your aircon system isn’t used.
